ADIMDE NEWS 28 TH COMPANY OPENS NEW PREMISES IN SPAIN In order to harness new bu- siness opportunities and to continue to improve its custo- mer service, TH COMPANY has opened a new office in Vigo (Spain), which joins the one that Técnicas Hidraulicas already has in Bizkaia. The new Vigo premises are in an unrivalled location, in the Port of Vigo itself. It also has a large warehouse for origi- nal spare parts. The recently opened Vigo office offers technical assis- tance, original spare parts and the supply of hydraulic components to the tuna fi- shing sector, trawler fishing and the shipbuilding and re- pair industry. It also provides facility and equipment repair and maintenance services at its 650-m2 workshop. This is all provided by a highly ex- perienced team. One of its strengths is the supply of hy- draulic-pneumatic materials and it therefore has a ware- house with over 5000 articles in stock. The company has recently suc- cessfully completed the repairs on Tuna Liner Corporation’s Templario I, with the whole team at TH COMPANY Vigo working against the clock to complete a range of tasks: - Dismantling, remodelling (in- creased number of pumps) and repair of reserve pump drive. - Fitting of newhydraulic pipes. - Supply of new directional spool valves. - Supply of new pump drive and pumps. - Supply of new deck-mounted brailing winch. - Supply of new Marco PB-64 power block. - Commissioning and star- up of the vessel’s main hy- draulic system. TH COMPANY was also commissioned to check the Vizconde de Eza, an ocea- nographic vessel used by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and the Environment to analyse and assess the state of the oceans and which specia- lises in finding new deep-wa- ter fishing grounds. TH COMPANY is currently overhauling the desk equip- ment, along with the hydrau- lic motors and generators of the cranes, windlasses and winches of the Salica Frigo cargo ship belonging to the Albacora Group. The opening of this office, to- gether with those in Ecuador, Mexico, Peru and Asia-Pacific, has helped to strengthen and grow the company’s maritime division and to continue foste- ring the objective of providing a “global service that is close to its customers”.
